When requesting support, please provide the following information to help us serve you more quickly:

  • AutoCAD® version and type, e.g., AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2023;
  • AutoCAD platform type, e.g., 32 bit or 64 bit;
  • SmartDraft® version (can be found using the SmartAbout command);
  • Microsoft Windows® version and type, e.g., Microsoft Windows 11 (64 bit);
  • A description of the problem, e.g., When using the <command name or alias>, I receive the error <xyz> when selecting a <object type, point, typing, etc…);
  • A copy of the file(s), XREF(s), or project files needed to test the problem using your data; and
  • Indicate in the file, the area, or objects you selected when the error occurred.

In SmartDraft the information above can be easily produced by using the SmartInfo command, which allows you to copy and paste the results into an e-mail.

AutoCAD warning: When you load the SmartDraft menu for the first time, the File Loading – Security Concern dialog box may appear. If it does, you must select the Load button for SmartDraft to work correctly. Note: The listed file could be smartxxxxx.mnl and MySql.Data.4.dll.



Block Scale / Insert Issue
If you experience issues with SmartDraft blocks inserting at the incorrect scale:

Follow these steps to correct the block scaling issue:
Erase all the incorrectly scaled SmartDraft blocks.
Purge all the blocks.
Run the “-DWGUNITS” command. Note: Use dash before the command.
Press ENTER for the prompts of the “-DWGUNITS” command except the Scale objects from other drawings upon insert? [Yes/No] <Yes>:Enter NO for the Scale objects from other drawings upon insert? [Yes/No] <Yes>: prompt.Rerun the SmartDraft command to confirm the block is scaled correctly.
